Covers
Software used depends a great deal upon the needs of the client. Frank Dearwester uses Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for the most part. Occasionally he will use Corel Painter and CorelDRAW.
Digital Illustration
Often times beginning with traditional sketch (pencil & paper), digital illustration is refined with software applications such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop or Corel Painter, depending on project needs.
Fliers & Brochures
Usually single-page projects, fliers and brochures are created either to match an existing design family. They can be laid out to fold in a multitude of ways. They can be cut to specific sizes, die cut into any conceivable shape, or they can be simple standardized sizes. They can be printed on any thickness of paper or other medium and are intended to be a mass and quick way to deliver you message to your target audience.
Logo Design
A logo is a symbol or emblem that acts as a trademark or a means of identification of an institution or other entity. There is some confusion amongst the public about its content though. It should be ultra-simple and easily recognizable. It should not be photographic content, nor should it have any text; though it is often advisable to contain highly stylized initials.
Posters & Signage
Publications
Publications are design works that have a binding element such as with books, ringed or stapled items, involved folding, etc. The software of choice for creating multiple page documents is Adobe InDesign.
