I have gained a major portion of my Photography education from 27 year Sacramento Bee Photography veteran Dave Henry. He is a true Master of his field. Along with the basics of the relationship between f-stop, shutter speed and ISO … and of course, the importance of the tripod, I have picked up on the passion for the industry that Dave exudes. Dave Henry has been a wealth of information and inspiration. I consider it an honor to have learned from such a Master, and I look forward to many more years of his instruction at CRC or whatever facility he blesses with his knowledge.
I currently shoot with Canon “prosumer” level gear (prosumer is a portmanteau word combining the words professional and consumer). This gear renders professional results at consumer prices. This enables me to keep my prices extremely competitive; (moving the savings on to you). My current favorite is the Digital Rebel XT with 55-70mm and 75-300mm telephoto lenses.
I greatly prefer to shoot candid and in natural lighting (dawn to dusk), as it affords a level of honesty and beauty that is difficult to achieve in studio; but if you have specific needs requiring posed and or setting-based images; that can be accommodated as well.
